Join us for the 3rd annual garlic mustard pull happening on May 26th in Sutton Park, Sault Ste. Marie.
Garlic mustard, an invasive biennial herbaceous plant, has taken over Sutton Park and is threatening our native species. The seeds of garlic mustard can spread easily by people and animals, remaining in the soil for up to 5 years. The plant creates dense monocultures, as it can survive in wide range of conditions. It is now considered one of Ontario’s most aggressive forest invaders!

Together the EDRR Network, Sault Naturalists, Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority and Sault College are hosting another one-day event to combat this aggressive plant from spreading further throughout the city. Come on out to Sutton Park, pull a little or pull a lot- every bit helps!
