Dog-Strangling Vine

Vincetoxicum rossicum

Dog-strangling vine is an invasive vine native to parts of Western Europe. This invasive vine was first introduced to North America in the mid 1800’s. In Ontario it is most prominently established in the Greater Toronto Area, and in the Ottawa area. Fortunately, few observations have been confirmed in Northern Ontario, particularly north of Sudbury.
